Trying Honey as Mask

I have posted here a facial scrub with honey as one of the ingredient, but you can't use this scrub too often as it cleanse the face too well, once a month is ok. I use this scrub only for special occasions where I want my face to "glow" :)

My sister and me are trying this experiment with honey as mask, we started yesterday.
You will need some drops of honey only (pure honey is recommended).
Apply it on your face with you fingertips, honey is very sticky, so i'll advise you not to massage your face as it might hurt.
Leave it on your face for some minutes (10-15 mins) and rinse with water only.

I wanted to try honey as I heard and read many times that honey has healing powers. I have very little acne problem, I've tried many creams and other stuffs but it didn't go 100% :(

I will try honey for some weeks and post the results.

Sugaring (recipe to remove hair)

You've been probably looking for ways to remove unwanted hair from your legs or arms like he and fed up of shaving every 3-4 days if you have to wear a short skirt...

I don't shave anymore, I got this recipe from many websites and in many versions, I tried all he versions and not all of them worked as it should so I decided to make the recipe myself, it works better now.

Here's what you will need

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2-3 tsp honey
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and start "cooking", let it cook slowly and stir well all the time, when you see it becomming a goldish brown colour remove it from the fire. Your wax is ready.
Allow it to cool down a bit before applying so that you do not burn yourself.

How to apply.
You will need lots of small cloth strips (approx 15*5 cm)
Put some powder on the area you want to remove hair.
Apply a thin layer of sugar wax with a spoon or any other object you think is better to perform this. You should apply in the direction of hair growth.
Put a cloth strip on the sugar, let it for some seconds then remove it in the opposite direction of hair growth and you're done :)

It hurts a bit, well just for a second, the pain is 100 % bearable.

Good luck in trying this.

How to apply make up?

This is a question a bit difficult to answer, well I'd say it's a bit complicated to give the perfect answer.
To apply my make up I usually follow these simple steps:
1. Apply foundation
2. Powder
3. Do the eyes
4. Lips

I started to apply makeup when I turned 18, and this too very lightly, I prefer myself natural & my boyfriend too. I apply makeup only for special occasions, e.g marriages, birthdays and so on.

I found this article that helped me a lot for makeup application
http://www.ehow.com/how_11271_apply-makeup-10.html

It explain the steps you should follow very simply so that you look wonderful after applying your makeup.

My Homemade Sugar Scrub

Some months back we (me and my sister) were looking for ways to remove hair (on legs and arms), we got that sugaring recipe, tried it, it works just fine, hurray no need to shave anymore :)

This is how I got the idea to make a scrub with sugar, I read at many places that sugar is good for the skin, it's very nourishing.

Here's my homemade sugar scrub recipe:

  • 4-5 tsp sugar (white sugar cane)
  • 2 tsp honey
  • some drops of lemon juice (not necessary)

Mix well and leave it at room temperature for some minutes.

Apply on face and scrub well (not too hard it may hurt) for 30 secs to 1 min then leave it on your face for some minutes or you can wash your face directly.

Your face will become very smooth and clean.

We used this scrub on our face and neck only haven't tried it on other places of the body but I don't think it'll be a problem to try it elsewhere as both honey and sugar are good for the skin.
